The BioDezyne Approach to Health and Wellness
Nutrition for human bodies,
including your own, provides to living cells those
elements and compounds necessary for the cell to
thrive. BioDezyne approaches nutrition not only from
the perspective of what you eat, but how you can
assimilate essential elements for life into your
cells. In many situations, people are being advised
to take various supplements, herbs, or vitamins or
to eat a certain diet, and yet no focus is placed on
ensuring that whatever is being taken is also being
digested and absorbed.
BioDezyne's starting point is to
ensure that whatever your cells need will be
delivered with the help of supplemental digestive
enzymes.
We invite you to come explore
your body’s needs with us and let us provide a
customized protocol of enzymes and dietary
supplements specifically for you.

GI TRACT
The GI tract is a large surface
area covered with highly specialized viable cells.
Those cells are continuously being exposed to
everything eaten, whether healthy or toxic. As a
result of poor eating habits, exposure to
xenobiotics, and continuous role of stress hormones
and neurotransmitters, the GI is constantly
challenged. Thus, it should be monitored and
assisted to help maintain its effectiveness.
As a leading nutritional
company, Transformation Enzyme Corporation has its
core scientific and clinical wellness foundation
based on three intricate physio-biochemical needs.
The scientific basis for the focus on these three
aspects in health and wellness is supported by
several kinds of data.
ensuring good nutrient acquisition ensuring adequate
blood flow dynamics for proper traffic of nutrients,
immune molecules, immune cells, and other molecules
as well as the timely removal of wastes
maintaining a good microflora within the GI tract,
which is an integral part of the body’s biochemical
and homeostasis basis
As a result of other complicated
conditions, other Transformation products and
approaches are also available to help return the
body to homeostasis. However, this set of three main
factors constitutes the foundation of
Transformation's approach to health and wellness.

ENSURING NUTRIENT ACQUISITION
Adequate cellular functionality
and vitality within a well-balanced extra-cellular
environment constitutes the basis of the physio-biochemical
reactions that translate into good health and
wellness. In order to reach and maintain that
status, all types of cells from all biological
systems (including humans) need to meet their most
fundamental requirement that is nutrient
acquisition.
Both wellness and the
maintenance of health are fundamentally based on the
presence of an adequate system for the acquisition
of nutrients. Although this fact seems basic and
simple, it is often ignored, neglected, and even
taken for granted. However, only when all needed
nutrients are in proper balance and are adequately
delivered to the body can the cells maintain and
perform all of their vital functions to maintain the
biological system’s health and wellness.
Nutrient acquisition refers to a
set of processes that encompass food selection, food
digestion, nutrient absorption, metabolism of
nutrients and their derivatives, and the elimination
of wastes. In humans, as in any biological system,
any compromise in this process of nutrient
acquisition undermines homeostasis and progressively
sets the body into physiological disorder, as in
disease or illness with all its shades of severity.
It is often assumed that once
food is selected and eaten, the delivery of the
nutrients to the cells is a given. But this
assumption is far from the developmental,
anatomical, physiological and biochemical realities
of the digestive system. Beyond food selection, the
digestive system constitutes the key step involved
in ensuring that food is digested and absorbed so
that nutrients can reach the various cells. In fact,
one of the key limiting factors is the adequate
functionality of the digestive system. And yet this
is usually the first main factor that escapes human
control.
Several factors contribute in the individuality of
the GI tract:
- the organism's gene pool
- the temporal and regulated expression of the
genes
- the various dietary components across the
different developmental stages
- the level of exposure to various medications
and xenobiotics
- the influence of the various hormones and
neurotransmitters
- the factors related to the intricate
gastrointestinal tract microbial biology
- many others yet to be defined
Most importantly, the above
factors indicate that the GI tract may not function
at its optimum in most cases. In situations where
the GI tract's anatomical and physiological traits
are not optimum, it cannot ensure:
- the proper transmission of signals
- the gastrointestinal hormone secretions
- a good peristaltic movement
- the secretion of the various digestive enzymes
- the synthesis of the temporally needed
transport molecules
- the proper spatial and taxonomic distribution
of the microflora
- the normal coordinated secretion of
neurotransmitters
- the integrity and proper functionality of the
enteric nervous system
- the timely evacuation of wastes
These are just a few aspects of
the GI tract that are very sensitive to
developmental factors and diet, as well as several
factors from early in life and onwards.
The fact that digestive system
problems are more prevalent than usually thought is
revealed in recent data from the National Health
Institute. Their data showed an increase in
digestive disorders, with an estimated over 80
million people affected by various forms of
digestive disorders (1995). This continual increase
in the rate of digestive diseases illustrates
widespread poor diets, GI tract developmental
abnormalities, improper digestion, stressful
lifestyles, and side effects of various medications
and toxins in the food supply.
The most prevalent digestive
disorders are:
- abdominal wall hernia
- chronic liver disease and cirrhosis
- constipation
- diverticular disease
- gallstones
- gastritis and non-ulcer dyspepsia
- gastroesophageal reflux disease and related
esophageal disorders
- hemorrhoids
- infectious diarrhea
- inflammatory bowel disease
- irritable bowel syndrome
- lactose intolerance
- pancreatitis
- peptic ulcer
- viral hepatitis
Health and quality of life
depend to a great extent on what is ingested and how
it is processed once in the digestive system. If it
is not beneficial to the body, any product that is
taken into the gastrointestinal tract will add more
burden, which over a period of time may be the
foundation of various biological disorders (Rowland,
1988; Mitsuoka, 1978). In fact, it is suggested that
one third of cancer diseases are diet-related, and
several other diseases may be related to nutrient
acquisition deficiencies as defined above because
the body cannot meet the defense and repair needs
when attacked or injured. Thus, proper digestion to
help refurbish the body's machinery and re-supply
critical vital nutrients is of paramount importance.
Based on this core foundation of
health and wellness related to digestion, strong
emphasis has been placed on the selection of
effective oral supplemental digestive enzymes that
could ensure hydrolysis of the food macromolecules
to support the body. Through several years of
meticulous scientific and clinical research and
observations along with key player(s) in the dietary
enzyme industry, Transformation has secured a
position of quality, effectiveness, and safety in
providing digestive enzymes for ensuring nutrient
acquisition.
The various digestive enzymes
used in Transformation products have been selected
based on their biochemical properties to:
- survive the gastrointestinal tract (GI)
environment, i.e., maintain their native
configuration and functionality in the GI tract
- be absorbed intact into the blood and remain
active under certain conditions
- be commercially produced with high specific
activity under aseptic conditions
In addition to these required
stability, functional and safety issues,
Transformation digestive enzyme products were
carefully selected to ensure the hydrolysis of the
carefully selected food macromolecules found in
human diets.

PROPER BLOOD CIRCULATION
The blood flow within healthy
blood vessels serving all tissues in the body
constitutes the second key factor in
Transformation’s scientific and clinical wellness
foundation program. Blood and lymph constitute the
vehicles that carry nutrients, immune molecules,
immune cells, various hormones, signal molecules,
cytokines, and several other vital molecules to
cells and carry molecular wastes away from cells.
This is necessary in order to maintain a healthy
vital environment within the body.
However, frequent cellular
injuries lead to inflammation, immune responses, and
the accumulation of free radicals. As a result,
there will be increased risks of fibrin clots,
platelet aggregations, atherosclerosis plaques, and
other cellular and molecular deposits. These various
reaction products have the potential to impede blood
flow and create areas of stagnation and even hypoxia
and ischemia.
Under those conditions of poor
blood rheology, the body cannot deliver vital
nutrients to cells or properly fight invading
molecules, thus creating a terrain susceptible to
the onset of various ailments, diseases, and
syndromes. For instance, as blood flow is impaired,
oxygen uptake and delivery by hemoglobin is reduced,
whereas the affinity of carbon dioxide to hemoglobin
increases. This results in poor ATP production and
acid accumulation in tissues, ultimately leading to
fatigue and soreness.
Another consequence of poor
blood flow is the restricted movement of the various
immune molecules and cells to problem areas in the
body. The longer this highly viscous sluggish blood
condition remains in the body, the more favorable
the internal milieu for bacteria proliferation
becomes, as well as the persistence of infected and
cancer cells. Additionally, poor blood rheology
favors the persistence of immune complexes, oxidized
molecules, glycated proteins, and various injurious
endogenous molecules. The overall consequences
resulting from poor blood flow dynamics need to be
resolved in order to impart wellness and restore the
body’s ability to be cleaned, nourished, and
defended effectively.
One of the best alternatives for
maintaining optimum blood rheology but with no known
side effects (as opposed to “blood thinning agents”)
is the administration of proteolytic enzymes (under
certain conditions that enhance their absorption).
It should be noted that not all proteolytic enzymes
can meet the biochemical requirements needed for
effectiveness. However, under careful selection
scrutiny, Transformation has put forth a blend of
proteolytic enzymes that meet the requirements of:
- Gastric stability
- GI tract absorption
- Systemic functionality
- Non allergenicity and toxigenicity
- High fibrinolytic and thrombolytic activities
- Adequate systemic clearance
The proteolytic enzymes used in
Transformation products have again and again proven
their effectiveness in helping address the second
key physio-biochemical facts in wellness and health,
ensuring adequate blood flow dynamics.

MAINTAIN GOOD MICROFLORA IN THE GI TRACT
The GI tract houses over 400
species of microorganisms. Many of them are friendly
to the GI ecosystem, while some are potential
pathogens. The goal for good microflora distribution
is to maintain a balance that allows the friendly
organisms (probiotics) to flourish and prevents an
overgrowth of the potentially pathogenic organisms.
Several studies have demonstrated the symbiotic
benefits between probiotics and GI tract biology.
These benefits include:
- enhanced digestion of certain food
macromolecules
- synthesis of bacteriocins and vitamins
- supplementation of essential amino acids
- regulation of host GI tract cell gene
expression
- protection against certain forms of tumors
- protection of colonocytes
- prevention of the growth of pathogenic
bacteria and parasites
- reduction of GI toxic materials that could be
absorbed into blood and lymphatic circulation
- maintaining a good and regular elimination of
wastes
Based on these benefits,
Transformation considers this third arm of
physiobiochemical facts of health and wellness to be
essential. Transformation's probiotic products have
been carefully selected, taking into consideration
the relative representation of the organisms and
their synergistic contribution to the health and
wellness of the GI tract.

ISOTONIC SUPPLEMENTS
For some patients, the BioDezyne
Center recommends Isotonic supplements.
Broken down to its roots, iso
means “the same” and tonic means “pressure or tone”.
When used to describe solutions that are meant for
consumption, isotonic means having the same fluid
pressure as body fluids. Tears, blood plasma, lymph
and other boy fluids are all isotonic. When we
ingest food, gastric (or stomach) juice is secreted
onto the food, and muscular contractions on the
stomach mix the contents until a reasonably uniform
solution is achieved. The solutions of food (or
chime) that enter the small intestine for absorbtion
are made isotonic by the action of the stomach in a
time-consuming process.
Isotonix products are formulated
with the proper balance of fructose, d-glucose,
citric acid potassium bicarbonate and other key
ingredients to assure that they are isotonic when
property prepared. This combination of ingredients
is necessary to maintain the flavor, isotonic
character, pH and delivery efficiency of these
nutritional supplements.
Normally, when you ingest a
daily vitamin or nutritional supplement tablet, your
body must work for up to four hours digesting and
absorbing the vitamins and nutrients. During this
lengthy breakdown process, a percentage of the
nutritive value is lost. But because Isotonix
products are powders, none of the fillers, binders,
coatings and lubricants that are common to tablet
manufacturing are necessary. There are not gelatin
capsules or fillers. As a result, the amount of time
and work necessary to absorb a supplement is greatly
decreased.
Concentration and absorption are
factors that go hand in hand for the proper use of
nutritional supplements. Concentration – the amount
of nutrient dissolved in a given amount of a solvent
such as water or stomach fluid – is usually directly
related to the efficiency of nutrient absorption.
This is especially true in the process of passive
diffusion. Passive diffusion works when the
concentration of nutrients in the lumen of the small
intestine is higher than the concentration inside
the intestinal cells. The nutrients “flow”down from
the gradient from high to low concentration. Since
Isotonix products experience little dilution in the
gastrointestinal tract, they arrive at the
absorption sites in high concentration and ensure
efficient absorption.
Because of their physiological
character, Isotonix solutions undergo very little
dilution in the body before they reach the
absorption sites. They are the ideal vehicle for
rapid nutrient utilization, Isotonix, the world’s
most potent nutraceutical taken orally.
TO MAXIMIZE EFFICACY AND USE
OF MACRO-AND MICRONUTRIENTS, IT IS
RECOMMENDED THAT NUTRIENT SUPPLEMENTS BE
ADMINISTERED IN AN ISOTONIC FORM

LOW
GLYCMIC DIETS
The glycemic index, or GI, is an
important measurement of the impact a food has on
your blood sugar. Glycemic Index is measured on a
scale of 1-100 (1 being the low and 100 being the
high) Foods with a high GI raise blood sugar very
fast, including: watermelon, white rice, potatoes,
most breads, cake, candy, popcorn and cookies. When
your blood sugar rises quickly your body produces an
increase in insulin telling the body to store fat.
Controlling the GI of your foods promotes normal
blood sugar levels and enables the body to stay in a
fat burning mode. You will feel energized, alert,
productive and less depressed by changing your diet.
